Before You will be angelbabys second official single off his upcoming album Clio and his 5th official Music NFT. 

  This song was chosen by Hume Genesis holders after watching season one of Humes episodic series Worlds Apart. Throughout the season we got to experience the early days of angelbaby and Clio falling in love, and feel the heartbreak that inspired angel to write this song Before You. Read the message below from angelbaby. 

 it's hard for me to even remember who i was before clio. there are so many things i would ask her if she was here. holding her in my arms after the bombing, screaming her name, i saw my whole life flash before me. im sure youve all had someone you loved that gave you purpose. i want you to imagine that person when you listen to this.

Lost Here (with CARLIE & HOUNDTRACK)

Sometimes it feels like youre lost even when you know exactly where you are.

"Lost Here" has been in the works for a while - I was working on my first project since being injured and reached out to Houndtrack to collab. We sent Carlie an early version of the instrumental to record on, and she literally wrote & recorded the vocals in two days. We ended up going back-and-forth countless times and eventually created a completely different instrumental & track that all three of us are super happy to share. 

This track is a reminder to trust the process, even if it takes time.

"It feels like if Charlie XCX guest-starred on an episode of SpongeBob and performed a song in the bizzaro underworld location where everyone speaks with a tongue fart accent. The song even features claves which remind me of Gary the snails eyes smacking together. This is probably the 3rd song Ive released singing in a British accent. I have tons more though."

Hey Sound fam! :) 

Over the next few days, Im going to be releasing the last 3 songs on my debut EP, called with friends.

Hold on to me represents a childlike sense of adventure and fun that Im always trying to capture when Im making music. Its the only song on the project that doesnt feature another artist, and I had a ton of fun making it. 

The vocal idea here is this is where my heart is, which felt like the perfect encapsulation of what I was trying to say with this project. Music is everything to me- its where I spend almost all of my time, and its where all of my creative energy goes. Its where my heart is :) 

I hope you have as much fun listening as I did making it <3
