GrailersDAO is a community of creators, curators, and collectors of some of the most sought-after digital art. Our objective is to support generative artists and the expanding generative art ecosystem including through our periodic curated art releases.

GrailersDAO invites established and emerging generative artists to join the DAO. Artist DAO members get access to a private Discord channel to connect with other artists along with the opportunity to participate and contribute with the broader Grailers community.

Atlas is a collection of interactive abstract kinetic paintings illustrating the paradoxical unity of living creatures. Beneath a dynamic but integrated whole, competing cells bubble in disquiet. As perhaps we all do.

Colour is used to represent the cellular dynamics, each piece evolving under its own laws.  Cells are rendered in various palettes and several shapes  from round to square, luminous, and Escher-like. Zooming in you can see the wild nature of individual elements.

Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large; I contain multitudes.

heartsleeves: skin by LoVid

heartsleeves is a multifaceted generative video project. Part one is
code-based, abstract video art that then becomes the basis for community
portraits once minted. In this layered generative process, the artists
take advantage of the distributive nature of art on the blockchain to
elevate the community to co-creators who can generate their own portraits
within the environments LoVid has defined.


The work is both a culmination and a departure point for the celebrated
artistic duo, LoVid, weaving together disparate shapes and symbols that
evoke projects from their decades-long career as video and performance
artists. These icons are organized on grids that weave above and below
each other, moving across the screen to form an abstract video fabric.


The live generator will play forever without looping, suggesting an
infinite abstract plane only visible in the square window of the art
object, to be passively observed. The work exploits two unique qualities
of the blockchainthe ability to store code on-chain allowing for the
transmission of this never-ending generative video, and the unique aspect
of verifiable ownership.


The second part of this work is only unlocked by this ownership. Each video
skin becomes an immersive environment in the portrait studio, but only the 
owner can access the specific skin. Opening the portrait studio shifts agency 
away from the artists, as the collector becomes the co-creator.


Through the portrait studio, the portrait sitter is pulled into the video 
environment created by the original code-based generative video. Faces slip 
inside it, get pulled in, and become defined by color woven amongst the shapes 
along the three-dimensional planes of the face. While the studio distorts color 
and projects shapes onto the face, the participant has their own agency in the
portraits color, exposure, zoom, and more predetermined elements.


This opens up a second phase of generative production. The artists leave the
community with instructions and parameters to produce the final stage of
the workvideo portraits created in collaboration with the generative
mechanic the artists predetermined.


The portrait subject transforms from a passive participant into something much
more integral. They are physically present, engaged, and able to directly
influence the final product. This means radical sharing of agency, as collaborative
portraits created away from the artists can be automatically entered into the canon.

Composition #86: It is what it is

This token is part of the series Composition #86: It is what it is, consisting of 101 unique luminograms. Each iteration was created with a vintage plotter, utilizing custom electronics to control a laser pointer's brightness via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The laser exposes light-sensitive paper with green light, in a darkroom setting. Following the exposure each piece has then been developed using traditional photo development techniques. Each luminogram has been hand-made by the artist.


This token comes with the original, to be claimed by the token holder. Upon resale on the secondary market, the original shall be shipped to the new owner. The receiver of the work will cover shipping costs.

Post Photographic Perspectives is Fellowship's inaugural group show celebrating a new wave of innovation in photography.

Temporary is a thought-provoking collection of post-photographic images that delves into the emotional journey of grief. Through a visual representation of the five stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance - this collection offers a unique perspective on the complexity of human emotions. 

Each stage is expressed through visual storytelling and the carefully crafted use of color  aimed to encourage and inspire individuals to connect with their own emotions and seek comfort in the knowledge that they are not alone on their journey.

Truth

Lisa Orths inter/sections explores the concept of creating a shared viewpoint through the overlap of multiple perceptions. The algorithm behind this series merges layers of code at contrasting scales, perspectives, and alignments, creating a visual synthesis that unites a variety of viewpoints into a cohesive whole.
Inspired by the multiplicity of perspectives, this project seeks to reveal the points where different views intersect, offering a glimpse into a shared truth. The work prompts contemplation of the common threads woven through our experiences, where overlapping viewpoints paint a picture of our shared reality. As layers of code converge, they mirror the connections we discover when navigating the vast landscapes of our experience, encouraging us to perceive unity amid apparent differences: a reflection on the beauty of embracing diverse viewpoints to create a collective understanding.
