London Eye

LONDON EYE explores themes of technology & time, human ambition & digital surveillance. The City bears witness, layers of humanity are documented in its built fabric, encircled by the River. The rippling surface acts as a border between the physical world and an intangible realm of lives lived and lives to come.

The artwork combines frame-by-frame charcoal drawing with high-end computer animation. The sound design samples Gottfried Huppertzs 1927 score for Fritz Langs film Metropolis.

A portrait of the British Queen is being crafted by machines. While traditional portraits tend to emphasize grandeur and pride, this artwork seeks to convey the more understated emotions that lie beneath the surface.
It captures the universal themes of solitude and loneliness, juxtaposed against the backdrop of the Queen"s glamorous and dignified presence.
The artist provokes contemplation about the capacity of androids to reveal aspects of the human experience that often elude our perception.

There are even secret hidden conditions that only the most patient observers will be able to spot when conditions are just right.
