This is part of the Spirit Animals limited edition NFT collection by Hamid Sardar:If a measure of the Golden Age, is the degree to which man can speak the language of animals, I came close to finding it once again in Mongolia. Out in the Gobi Desert, I met a fiddler who made a she-camel cry by playing an ancient melody. In the Altai, I witnessed Kazakh shepherds taking baby eagles from the nest, live and hunt with them for years, before releasing them back into the wild. On Mount Burkhan Khaldun, a horse-thief taught me how to call wolves with a secret song.

I found an imaginative resonance out there, between man and animal, that perhaps could not be found in places less primal.Pastoral nomad culture and art indeed memory itself - is inconceivable without this totem-like connection to the animal, a fabulous bestiary that taps into a primal layer of human consciousness where it awakens an archaic religious experience. 

For humans still living in the wild, survival is based on imitating wild beasts. People hunt, steal and heal by emulating the animal, and when the time comes to journey into other worlds, the shaman transforms into a horse or deer to seek the counsel of the ancestors.This spiritual connection between man and animal, is the guiding theme of my photography and films. In these new ethnographic dreamscapes, humans no longer occupy the centre of the image. They become just one element floating across the panorama. In fact, without the animal companion life would not be possible and man would appear lost. These compositions remind us that sedentary urban civilization is just one option and that cyclical movements across a pristine range, in the intelligent company of birds and beasts, is not only possible, but also essential to our well-being. Slices of TIME is a two-part collection, inspired by TIMEs nearly 100 year history. The collection features four editions: single red border, single white border, double red border, and double white border. The rarity of this collection was determined completely by Slices of TIME collectors and was final and set as of 12pm ET Feb 23, 2022.

The collection includes work by TIME Creative Director DW Pine and 38 incredible artists. TIME selected 19 artists, who in turn picked 19 collaborators, to create two pieces of artone inspired by a year from TIMEs past and one by what they see as a hundred years in the future. So, for example, 1969 and 2069.

Introducing the Ascended Apes, a derivative of Movement DAO"s Bored Ape Yacht Club No. 1420.  The Ascended Apes are 4,444 psychedelically clad technicolor anthropoids, each on their own mission to change the world.  

As a subset of the primate population, they stumbled upon the rare psilocybe movementsis fungi from its unique characteristic of bioluminescence. Upon the fungi consumption, the once Bored Ape suffered immediate and extreme exophthalmos. Physically and metaphorically, the Bored Ape"s view of the world forever changed.

The emergence of the Ascended Apes, now straddling the 3rd and 5th dimensions, navigating solely through their 3rd eye, could see only a world without problems. The Ascended Apes alchemized their helplessness (and poop throwing) into empowerment, fear into love, scarcity into abundance. The population manifested a platform to organize, channel, shape movements into action. 

The evolution of grunts becoming votes, bananas becoming tokens, despair into dialog, troops were able to organize and Move quickly and confidently. They called this unstoppable force of love and impact a Movement.

The Ascended Ape collection represents ambassadors of change, those who empower and facilitate communities to be heard and shape impact.
