One night, a woman was laying in bed and glanced at the side mirror. Looking at it closer she noticed smudges all over it, and after a closer inspection she it was covered in fingerprints. She took a towel and tried to rub them off. No matter how hard she tried cleaning the mirror, the finger prints would no disappear. After giving up and laying back in bed she took another glance and realized the finger prints were coming from the other side of the mirror. 

A GHOST STORY

For this piece I wanted to mix the digital styles I so love: 2D paintings and 3D sculptures. I wanted to show how they interact with each other and even if I am more known for colorful paintings, I decided to go for a more smoother painting as a background and vivid 3D in front.

For the creation of this work I was inspired by the idea of exploration: 
We are already capable of creating worlds. We always have been.  
But what is beyond what we can imagine? Behind the immense wall that defines our territory?

In the most recondite landscape, in the most surreal of scenarios, there is always a limit and our  
eyes, unfailingly, always try to look over it. Go through it.  
Our impulse is that of exploration. Our thirst feeds on frontiers.

The theme of this art piece is the hunter and the prey. There is a food chain in nature, which can also be seen as a business ecosystem. If you feel that you can catch a small prey, then it is worth considering that you can become someone"s dinner today too

The idea behind this piece was to capture an intense life or death moment between two epic mystical like creatures. The age old theme of the circle of life, and the laws of nature. The exact moment when the hunter latches onto its prey, and what happens next is a question the viewer might have to ponder and play out in their own head. I felt the super wide landscape composition was absolutely perfect to capture a dashing like movement across the canvas.

Something many artists aspire for is the freedom to create; however, we often feel restricted, restricted by time, restricted by society, and restricted by bills and rent, and money.

The location of this photograph is quite ironic. This was photographed in Macau, China, in what people know as the "bird-cage apartments." We feel the walls closing in and we can only catch a glimpse of freedom soaring up above. I hope that we can all attain it someday.
