This Acheulean hand axe was collected in 1960 in Saudi Arabia and is now held by the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. It is almost perfectly symmetrical, about the size of an adults hand, and made of a rough quartzite. The Acheulean hand axe is one of the most durable technologies the world has ever seen.

Fountain is a readymade sculpture by Marcel Duchamp in 1917, consisting of a porcelain urinal signed R. Mutt. In April 1917, an ordinary piece of plumbing chosen by Duchamp was submitted for an exhibition of the Society of Independent Artists, the inaugural exhibition by the Society to be staged at the Grand Central Palace in New York.

Comedian is a 2019 artwork by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. Created in an edition of three, it appears as a fresh banana affixed to a wall with duct tape. As a work of conceptual art, it consists of a certificate of authenticity with detailed diagrams and instructions for its proper display. Two editions of the piece sold for $120,000 USD at Art Basel Miami Beach generating significant media attention.
