Broken system, broken roads
Sweet sandalwood incense rising in smoke
Ladies wrapped in every color and every pattern
Morning milk tea with cookies out under the mango tree
Hopeful graffiti of revolution on every street wall
A thousand guests, a million cups of coffee
The two Niles converging at one point
Mixing, sorting, moving on North
I will leave for my home soon

This piece was made while I was visiting Sudan and during the time I started meetings to build a school using the charity money collected from all the amazing collectors of Sudfah.  I was inspired by the contrast between the ubiquitous dirt and broken system of Sudan and the beautiful colorful culture and people.  The colorful forms represent to me both the long flowy garments of the ladies and the smoke and aromas rising from the unique incense and perfumes of Sudan.

25% of the proceeds will be donated toward building a school for an underdeveloped community in Sudan.

Volute is the result of different stages of my experience in Generative Art over many years put together, drawing on early and new techniques plus my recent forays into long form generative art.

I set out to explore the essence of generative art, seeking, discovering, coaxing and exposing the variety of outputs from a simple system.

The soulless algorithm is counterbalanced by the exclusive use of colours from nature as prime sources. Brutal symmetries and complexities are softened by decentring and subtle layer transparencies. Pixel feedback loops generate radial symmetries and spirals, producing a variety of flower structures, volutes and arabesques. And when I view the results - their rhythm, their surprises, their flow - they justify for me my earlier choice of technical process.

My aim in Volute is to create, using gentle spiraling motion, the calming effect of marveling at flowers in nature.

Clash of Cyborgs is a collection of 8,888 Cyborgs ready for battle. In the year 2468, due to climate change and a lack of natural resources, 50% of Earths population is now cyborgs. Land is still as valuable as ever (including the Moon) and the fight to control how its used wages on. The Heroes are determined to protect the land (alongside the humans), while the Villains will do whatever it takes to ensure that the human race is decimated and all that remains are cyborgs. 

The cyborgs are split into two factions (Army and Air Force) and have ranks such as: Captain, Colonel, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Major. The battle will be filled with twists, turns, and hopefully the continued existence of the human race.
