Located in the heart of Magg City, is the Giraud District, also known simply as Interlink. A hub for art and artists of all mediums. 

This is a bussling part of the city, super fast paced, everyone is in a hurry, and moving all the time. Even the fads and trends within the art world itself are always constantly shifting and changing from one day to the next. But, its not always this fast. When the art itself has its moment in the spotlight, time can feel like its stopped, and so does the bussling population that gets hooked into the piece, frozen in awe at its beauty, if only for a moment. 

Of course with enjoyers of art usually comes enjoyers of the altered mind. and so inbetween and intermingled with all the art studios and galleries are a plethora of smoke shops and lounges. More specifically, the Smoken Smoke Shop, which is hosting the lastest line of glass art by the prolific glass artist, Murdoc.

"Theres no escaping the light......." 

You look over at a survivor nearby, and ask them if theyre okay. They stare back at you, and then slowly begin to laugh hysterically. You ask them whats so funny, but they just continue laughing as if there is nothing wrong with the situation at all. At that moment another beam shoots down and the person disappears...

Lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating the clouds above and around the city below.  A flash of light suddenly shot from the sky, causing people to scream and cover their eyes with their hands. Confusion and chaos ensued as floating objects appeared out of nowhere and people began floating up into the air like leaves on a river current. Some of them began falling back down to Earth again as others still floated on upwards into eternity. 

Only a select few people seemed to be immune to "The Flash"s" effects. Some people who had been hit by it seemed to have some kind of immunity while others screamed in pain or terror as they watched those around them disappear or begin to float towards the sky. 

The Flashes of light engulf the city, shooting clouds of smoke out and evaporating people who come into contact with the light. You look around in horror as people are being vaporized right in front of your eyes. Huge plumes of smoke explode into the air as the flashes continue to emit in every direction. Nothing but light for some until the fog overtakes them.

At one point the light touches you and teleports you to the top of a hill with others overlooking the city being overtaken by the flash and smoke. How could something so chaotic be so beautiful? How could there be beauty in the chaos? You look around to see if you recognize anyone but to your dismay they are all strangers to you.

What do we do next? Where do we go? What is all of this? The same questions constantly being muttered through the small group that just watched their homes destroyed by a force you would only read about in a Manga. Which question will you follow first?

Chapter 2 finds us before "The Flash."

It was an amazing year for tech exploration and discovery. The economy was booming and the feeling of hope in the air was undeniable. A city buzzing with people, unbeknownst to them what was about to happen.

The time had come for The World Tech Expo; a showcase of all kinds of new technology, including AI, smart appliances and drones. But there were also rumors about a top-secret government project that would revolutionize the world.

So many people wanted to see it, but only a few were selected by lottery to attend and somehow I was one of them.. We had no idea what we were in for when we arrived at the Expo 

 While waiting in line A sudden flash of light shoots across the sky and overtakes the city. No one knows what is happening. People vanishing as soon as they are engulfed by it.

They are left behind and no one knows what happened to them.....

Once the witches returned, so did the monsters. Previously relegated to the wilds on the outskirts of town with the witches return to power, the beasts became emboldened to come closer into the town and suburbs.
