PipingPunks by Luc

This PipingPunk is inspired by CryptoPunk #3633. It uses all the pixels, from all attributes + the base combined (check LoadingPunks for more details), to form a system of pipes. The process begins with the rarest color and progresses to the least rare color, black, to complete the system. The final pipe sometimes neatly reaches the side, but mostly it ends somewhere in the middle. Each PipingPunk NFT also comes with a GIF version that shows the pipes moving towards the end result. It took 5,434 tries to create this PipingPunk and 28 seconds.

[Chae Tongyull]
Born in Busan in 1951, studied Vietnamese in college which led to 2 years of military service in  Vietnam war. After the service went to USA and started to paint in New Orleans where he  founded abstract expressionist group  Idists and moved to NYC and actively exhibited in the  East Village during the 80s. He participated in the East village exhibit at Bronfman center,  Montreal, Saatch & Saatch in NYC, the long Island Museum of fine arts, NY, Everson museum of  arts , Syracuse, NY and numerous exhibits in NYC. 
From 1993 started to study Tibetan buddist paintings which led to living and painting in Nepal,  Sikkim, Ladakh and Tibet. 
In Korea, he exhibited in Indang Museum, Daegu, Sun gallery, Seoul, Yeh Gallery, Seoul, Philip  kang Gallery, Seoul, Park Yeo sook Gallery, Seoul and his works are in the collection of the Korean  national museum of contemporary arts, Samsung Leeum Museum, Hanlim museum, Daejun and  Recycling museum., Daejun.

TingaTinga Arts Collective

From a creative co-op in Tanzania emerges TingaTinga Arts Collective, a vibrant showcase of 8 artists breathing new life into the rich visual storytelling traditions of East Africa. Influenced by visionary artist Edward Saidi TingaTingas work in the 1960s (where the movement gets its name), this collective carries the torch of this distinctive African art form renowned for its bold and brilliant colors, characters, and captivating narratives.

Originally constructed using bicycle paint on low-cost materials such as masonite squares, ceramic fragments, and wood, the evolution of TingaTinga has come a long way. And now for the first time in the collectives history, their art is being made public on-chain in the form of NFTs, continuing a global journey of humble origins that unites us all in a universal language of color, imagination, and aspirations.

Proceeds of this collection go to help fund the continuous operation of TingaTinga Arts Collective. With each purchase, you contribute your voice to this movements global narrative, and connect yourself to a Tanzanian tradition that remains unbroken six decades after it was founded.
