GIRL+BOY AVATAR from ALICE UNCHAINED by Claudia Hart is released as a PIONEER GRAIL on the occasion of the artists solo exhibitions at EXPANDED.ART in Berlin and at Annka Kultys Gallery in London to celebrate and share her visionary spirit.  

GIRL+BOY AVATAR is on the cover of the fourth edition of DIGITAL ART (Thames and Hudson) written by Christiane Paul, Curator of New Media at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Pauls book is considered to be the canon of digital art history; the first edition was published in 2003, the fourth edition in May 2023. 

The image, a scene from ALICE UNCHAINED, portrays Harts gender-fluid avatar performing in the FLOWER MATRIX, her personal interpretation of Alices Wonderland: an endless labyrinth from which there is no escape. Hart covers the wall of her matrix with emojis using the addictive symbols of casino capitalism and computer languages, both sweet and disturbing. GIRL+BOY AVATAR is a metaphor for contemporary life in the age of the metaverse as Hart imagined it in the year 2018. 

Harts ALICE UNCHAINED is a 3-channel animation and interactive virtual reality world. It was inspired by the technology theorist Donna Haraway. She imagined a Utopian future in her A CYBORG MANIFESTO in which advanced bio-technologies would liberate human culture from the constraints of gender binaries. In response, Hart directed and motion-captured professional wrestler Isaias Velazquez and choreographer-dancer Kristina Isabelle, mixing their movements together to create a singular, cyborg ballet performed by a gender-fluid avatar. This adds up to a new chamber music experience, one strangely referential to the 19th-century salon for chamber music. Lewis Caroll wrote the original ALICE IN WONDERLAND in 1868. ALICE UNCHAINED exists in a realm between the real and the digital, in neither time nor space. 

ALICE UNCHAINED is a virtual chamber for chamber music consisting of a cyborg performance rendered in three virtual cameras and a VR experience. It is the third work created by Hart that is loosely inspired by ALICE IN WONDERLAND. The work includes music by the composer Edmund Campion. It mashes 3D animation, motion-captured live performance, and music performed by living musicians. Their sound is computer analyzed and reinterpreted in real-time. It feeds-back the virtual and the live, blending them together in a liminal, uncanny mix. 

ALICE UNCHAINED is the first mixed-reality pieceincluding a headset VRpurchased by the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. It inspired generations of younger mixed-reality artists and world-builders that worked directly with Hart as a professor. She developed a program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago: EXPERIMENTAL 3D. Her intention was to expand contemporary installation-based practice into the realm of post-photography simulations, from 3D animation to VR, AR, and sculpture produced with 3D printing and other computer-driven tools. The students in classes such as her Basic Course (inspired by the Bauhaus original), Virtual Installation, Digital Bodies, Atmospheric Animation, among others, moved generations of future artists and world buildersincluding Sophie Kahn, Katie Torn, Sara Ludy, and Mitchell F Chanthat went on to move contemporary art in a new direction.

The MALA MALA Power Ring honors the bravery it takes to commit to one"s identity and is an homage to our home of Puerto Rico. 

MALA MALA is the first feature-length non-fiction film made in Puerto Rico to have a theatrical premiere in the mainland United States. Winning an Audience Award at the 2014 TriBeCa Film Festival, the film was celebrated with GLAAD honors and premiered theatrically in 2015. MALA MALA is the first film by Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini.

This moving documentary captures the intimate moments, performances, friendships, and activism of trans-identifying people, drag queens, and others who defy gender norms in Puerto Rico. Featuring Ivana, an activist; Soraya, a gender-affirming pioneer; Sandy, a sex worker looking to make a fresh start; and Samantha and Paxx, both of whom struggle with the quality of medical resources available to assist in their transitions, MALA MALA sensitively and compassionately affirms that the quest to find oneself can be both difficult and beautiful.

In January 2023, the children of ArtePro participated in a workshop at the Botanical Garden of UNAM. Artist Lucrezia de Fazio taught them how to paint using Hibiscus flowers. Surrounded by the gardens and using only flowers and water, the children experimented with this painting technique. 

This inaugural ArtePro3 release, called Soando con Flores (Dreaming with flowers), is an AI artwork created using the paintings the children made in the workshop that day, unifying them into one shared dream. 

Soando con Flores is part of the ArtePro3 launch presented by Jaka Labs and Operator.

The hashtag Lambo in the context of cryptocurrency is often used humorously or ironically to refer to the idea of making substantial profits from investing in cryptocurrencies, later, NFTs, and subsequently being able to afford a Lamborghini sports car. The term gained popularity during the cryptocurrency boom and bull markets when many individuals experienced significant financial gains from their initial investments in Bitcoin.

The concept of buying a Lamborghini as a symbol of success became associated with the idea that cryptocurrency investments could lead to substantial wealth within a relatively short period of time. Early adopters seeing their Bitcoin values dramatically appreciating fueled this concept. As a result, buying a Lamborghini with cryptocurrency gains became a pop and meme culture within the cryptocurrency community.

Using the hashtag Lambo on social media platforms or online forums often indicates a playful reference to the hope or expectation of achieving substantial profits from crypto and NFTs. The origins of the phrase remain mysterious. Some attribute the Reddit and Bitcoin forum memes to stories around teenagers cashing out crypto and unintentionally attracting the attention of the police and tax authorities. In contrast, others see their origin in traders and technologists converting minuscule investments into Italian racecars.

The hashtag Lambo serves as a reminder of the potential rewards and the speculative nature of investing in this space. While it may attract many people into the crypto space, the dream of the Lambo will dissolve, for the vast majority, like a cloud.

Hashtag Lambo is a collaborative artwork between artist Martin Lukas Ostachowski and the NewHere community. Thirty-five community members joined the collaboration and submitted cloud images which the artist manually arranged into a collage. The artwork was created with the submissions of:
