For STVDIO NOUVEAU: Remixed #1 we bring you a remix of "Bloom", the 7th track from STVDIO NOUVEAU"s debut album, "Audiovisual", remixed by electronic music producer Maelstrom.

"Bloom" was originally released on August 27th, 2020 as a single edition NFT on SuperRare, along with the wider release of the "Audiovisual" album on the platform between August 24th and September 17th, 2020.

We are stoked to on-board him to sound with "Zomba", an ethereal instrumental that encapsulates Max"s melodic sound.

We"re back with a gorgeous banger this week by none other than xander. He is known for his wide range of production capabilities, including his own vocals, which extend through multiple genres. His first drop in the space was via our collabTAPE with heds in August of "22. You will find xander."s music peeking through every corner of the scene having placements including with Meek Mill, on outlets such as Majestic Casual, Lofi records, and an extensive catalog of surreal moments and soothing grooves.

Dragging Chords

Like a lot of the time Dragging Chords was created when I got a new piece of software. I use Reason for producing and theyd recently released their fantastic Chord Sequencer. I ran a pattern out of Reason to trigger my Roland JV-2080 and the result was the main piano/synth you hear in the track. The groove on this is quite pacey and rolling. I wanted to create something for the dancefloor that was uplifting and positive.

Compelling music knows no bounds. From the Scottish Highlands and the shores of Lake Erie comes a new techno collaboration from producers, Acutek and Dyztopian.

Elektra Reflections started as a friendship in the LNRZ Telegram group. J. Thorn producing as Dyztopian shared stems with Acutek, who crafted the raw material into mesmerising beats, hypnotic loops, and an entrancing soundscape.

And in the true spirit of collaboration, Acutek sent the track to Conor Dalton who mastered the track.

Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope is the second track from the Combat EP. Started in my home studio thinking about the dance-floor, early in the night while people are warming up. Something to get lost in the moment to.

"Acutek brings the tempo down for Kaleidoscope. Moody, dark, and unrelenting; behind-the-beat hats and a killer bassline keep the track grooving amidst a heavy soundscape of cavernous pads and stabs. Subtle variations in the percussion keep the listener intrigued throughout the track. Intense but irresistible nevertheless."

Netflix

The inception of Netflix occurred whilst I created a remix for Reo Craguns Zoom competition with Arpeggi Labs. When the opportunity arose, I swore that I was going to seize it. My goal was to make everyone who heard it say Ayo Who the hell is this guy?. Well, I guess it worked, because it got me here.

In honour of the remix that led me to my Genesis on Sound, I remixed my own remix! Taking vocals from the initial track, I flipped the acapella in true grime fashion, building a new track with the essence of Elcee the Alchemist. 

Dont be fooled however, this is only the tip of the iceberg. I intend to spin your head with each release, exposing new parts of my soul and bringing you deeper into my mind. Im on a journey to express the most obscure nuances of my existence, from the highest highs to the lowest lows, from the wildest mosh pits to those solitary moments. I hope to bring you all on my journey, as I hope I can become a part of yours.

Lots of things changed for me in 2022.

I moved to Brooklyn, switched careers, ended a long-term relationship, quit weed, traveled everywhere from Paris to Bogot, moved OUT of Brooklyn, released my debut single and genesis music NFTs...you get the point.

In the midst of all of this I have attempted to become more discerning in my day to day life. Every day brings new decisions. How will I show up for myself? Which relationships will I prioritize? Which habits will I direct my time and energy to?

NOT4ME was my first attempt to answer these questions as I began to face my vices, cut my losses and chart a course for healing. I am grateful for the chance to share this stripped down version of NOT4ME for the first time here on Sound, and I hope you enjoy

Doesn't Matter

"Doesn"t Matter" was written because although you might think it doesn"t matter, you never know the impact until you do it. 

I wanted to experiment with different production styles and see what I could create. Sat in the studio with an idea and inspiration, this is the result. 

There is something in this track that feels calming to me and is good for the soul. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
