The trefoils three leaves represent the three different continents where adidas products were sold in 1972. Weve come a long way since thenand the infinite trefoils represent the infinite nature of where the adidas community now exists: the metaverse. Verse Works

By placing our trust in any of the "future techs" to solve todays environmental problems, we run the risk of postponing the actions that mattered. Carbon capture is one of those technologies weve engaged in to give us an impression of action; perhaps, unconsciously, in order to cover up our anguish, our helplessness or our guilt. 

Yet we need to keep moving forward. Art has this kind of energy, charismatic and unifying. If I believe little in technology to save humanity, I keep hope in humanity, in its conscience, in the universality of its love. If only one power is given to artists, it is that of being able to touch, sometimes, the hearts of men.

 Born in 1965 in Germany. He discovered his passion for photography at the age of 14 during a photography course at school. Schlegel soon began to solidify his preference for black-and-white portraits. With them, he not only creates artistic photographs, but also documents and preserves unique works of art - the people themselves.  None of the people photographed wears special make-up or was specially dressed before the picture was taken. Nothing was staged, nothing is faked. The only stylistic device he uses for each of his photographs is a simple grey background. This draws attention to the people, not to their circumstances. The basic message is the inner and outer beauty of the people depicted. Schlegel emphasises their uniqueness, their value and their irretrievability. With his award-winning art, he champions the specialness and individuality of cultures.

As a freelance artist, he has been experimenting with a wide variety of materials in his studio for over 25 years and in this way creates extraordinary sculptures that astonish. In his photographic works, he takes this idea further and combines different image snippets and objects to create new image worlds. These digital alterations give rise to photomontages that are sometimes consciously recognisable as such, in other cases leaving the viewer in doubt. In any case, they are thought-provoking, disturbing or provocative. In his newly created, sometimes paradoxical realities, Grill takes aim at the firmly rooted belief in what we see in his own way. His works can be seen in numerous international exhibitions as well as at festivals and art fairs.
