Like I Always Do

Written, arranged, produced, and performed by Weinbagz. Mastered by Genzo Rubin. 

I wrote this track in late 2022. It was a very challenging time for me mentally. I was going through a lot of IRL issues and my life felt like it was being turned upside down. The lyrics for this track sort of slipped out effortlessly, and really came from the pain I was feeling. 

I remember spending every night trying to make things feel right yet it never quite worked, and the issues that I was facing really felt like they were hitting home. Home is a very important concept to me and the feeling of home can instantly vanish, which is a hard thing to confront and accept.

This track was my way of trying to express my pain and make things feel right again.

The Gineeren Chronicles

The Tercom eclipse as seen from the surface of the planet Gineeren. The Tercom Eclipse signaled the approaching days of the Strudentoics Prophecy, and mark the beginning of the Gineeren Chronicles, moments before the prologue of our story begins.

Behind the Tercom moon, the 2 suns were beginning to merge as one. A long awaited event by the inhabitants of Gineerens smallest moon, now desperately fleeing from thier homes as the moons surface destabilizes, and begins to fall apart.

Unable to send aid in evacuating the small moon, the Tracties observe both events from the Ompu observatory, while thier leader awaits the birth of his only child. Unaware that not only 1, but 3 will come into being, as the 2 suns become one, and the small moon comes crashing down into the far side of his planet.

All the Toraudite of Water can do is watch in horror as all his company ships pour off the broken moon, yet only 1 small ship is able to escape before all life upon the moon is lost.

I wrote Crystal Moons during a time of deep introspection and isolation while living in Hollywood.  I later realized the lyrics were a story I told myself for comfort - acknowledging that even in the darkest night there's always light.

This is the first track on "Pandora"s Box."

In the traditional version of the myth, Zeus gave Pandora a small box but said she must never open it. As Pandora was created to be curious, she eventually could not resist and opened the box. Out of the box came horrible evils such as sickness, death, poverty and sadness that were inflicted on humans.

In hindsight, using "Pandora"s Box" to describe a relationship and the effects of it was overly dramatic, but the analogy still stands (in a mental way).

"annabelle" was meant to be soft & made to tug at your heartstrings. Sometimes your mood can be entirely lifted by hearing someone"s voice or laughter. Sometimes you find purpose after a series of interactions.

Fill out your lungs with sun, a long road ahead is about to come, dont run, resilience and time will make you strong, so you can understand how fire and stone are a part of god.

Love will cover you all the way even when fear and doubt would seem to stay, so keep the faith walking straight into the unknown, just dont be afraid.

Become the phoenix and raise your flight, day and night without loosing your sight, because surely one day somehow you will reach the light.

In the artist's words: "I'm so excited to be the first artist to test the Nifty Music Floor Drops, and I hope this new innovative approach will work for many other web3 music artists to come!

I picked my new single 'Other Side', which is a very special one for me.It's one of my first songs that's been reworked into a 2023 edition to reflect my latest level of production and mixing skills, and showcase how far I've come since then. And, with the mastering expertise of Peter Mayer, a world-renowned mastering engineer who has worked with top artists like U2, The Rolling Stones and Lana Del Rey, I'm happy to say that it's sounding FIRE!!

As I came to the UK from China, my world views, self - identity, and value systems were in disarray.My young life was a puzzle of unresolved issues and contradictions.I struggled with the clash of Eastern and Western cultures, where to stand between collectivism and individualism, and the confusion between fatalism and free will.

Scared, lost and confused, I faced the unknown world, the 'Other Side' representing the duality, the unknown and unseen, my own shadow.

The song is about this inner journey I took, the courage to face my fears, the struggles and the hope that I found."
