Woke Up!

"Woke Up!" is a part of an audiovisual collection, in collaboration with Andre Oshea, for my forthcoming EP entitled In The Meantime.

50% of all the sales generated from "In The Meantime" will be placed in a wallet dedicated to supporting organizations combating recidivism rates & helping with bail assistance for non-violent crimes like The Bail Project, Maryland Alliance for Justice Reform, & Baltimore Action Legal Team. We want to be a genuine use case for Music NFTs leading to social impact.

The 3D Animations paired with 4 songs from the EP will also be highlighted in tandem with a 3-part short film to coincide the musical experience. Presale will be available on November 1st + the public mint will be on November 2nd.

Woke Up! #17

Radio Silence Pt.1 (RAW)

I was sick for the past week, probably from exhaustion..being out frequently..but I got a new guitar..Which I"m extremely happy about!

So yesterday I started playing some stuff and one thing led to another.. Not the usual case where the process is filmed and what not, so this is as raw a demo as It can get (if it weren"t just a voice-memo). I was super stuffy, but started singing and I took a liking to how I sounded.

Figured I"d continue fleshing out the beat and just getting it out there. Yesterday Create, Today a light mix, Now to Upload!

Though I"m getting used to not overthinking music creation and giving it all the packaging... I"ll continue this streamline process.

The concept of "Radio Silence Pt.1" to me, I"ve been elated to be involved in this space and in support of all the fellow pioneers herein. This is just another contribution to art. The song represents to me, "The death of radio", the hardships that come with being an artist, and having to sustain oneself through the commodization of said art.

NEYBORS is about giving your undivided attention to that special someone & sharing those intimate moments uninterrupted.

Ive lived in settings where Ive had annoying neighbors either above/below me or next door ask me to either turn down the volume when Im playing music or keep the general volume down when having guests over. But nothing is more annoying when that happens while trying to spend quality time with your significant other. Those intimate moments can completely take your focus away from everything else in the world. Sometimes it can all feel therapeutic or even euphoric; where you dont even need to speak & can just exist together.

I wanted to end the summer on an upbeat and feel-good vibe as I gear up for the release of my next EP. This was actually the first record that J.Robb played me out of a pack when he and Elujay both came over to my house in LA to kick it. As soon as I heard it I knew it was special because I felt like both the production and the parts Elujay had laid were perfect. I ended up writing both my verses that same day and recorded them the next day.

One of the best things you can provide your significant other is undivided attention. The feeling of being wanted, desired, and/or having a hold on someone, in THIS DAY AND AGE, is saying a lot. I think its the little things like being present when spending time with your partner that makes those moments feel like heaven. It shows an intention is being made & keeps that energy on a high.

VOICES I is about finding moments of relief and escape from your own mind. It's the first segment of a two-part song that was written and produced live on Twitch, and VOICES II will soon follow with another drop on Sound.

Part I was originally created as a new introduction for my debut performance at Red Rocks this year, and the Golden Egg winner will have tickets and backstage access to the show on October 21, 2022 (utility may also be transferred to another show).
