Snow was written about a time when I was with someone 10 years older than me.

We never fought coz there was nothing to fight about. It felt so safe enjoying the perks of white America and emotional tranquility- the fancy dinners, concerts, and shallowness. He was freshly divorced and in my naive mind I didn"t register myself as the younger, shinier, rebound. 

We went to a bed and breakfast spot in upstate New York that was covered in virgin snow. There was a light indigo hue all around, as far as the eyes could see. The snow and the sky blended in, and all you could see is a small cloud of smoke coming from my breath, swirling in the air.

Don't Have to Explain

While I continue to grow up and be a teenager, I feel so many emotions all at once. The good, the bad, the crazy. Its hard to pinpoint where everything stems from. I tend to struggle with how fast time flies by, too busy focusing on trying to slow down the present, that I miss whats already happened. And there are times where I find people questioning my beliefs, or my feelings towards others. As humans, we are constantly juggling so many different aspects in our life, trying to find a balance. 

Devan and I love this track. We make all our music together and give it our all every time. Magic is the only outcome. I like to think that this song creates an escape for all of us. Or even a safe place to be ourselves. A place to finally exhale. Without judgment, without fear, without stress, and without worries. 

Dont Have to Explain spreads a little light on all the flourishing stresses we have. About making decisions, wanting to pause and be in the moment, and even protecting our own space. We should never feel obligated to have to explain ourselves. We should be open and understanding of each other. We should encourage and learn from one another. 

Be present.  
Be mindful. 
Be grateful. 
When you listen to this song, know that you are here. 
And you dont have to explain a thing.

The year was 2015 - We were on tour doing a show in Laughlin, Nevada and on the bill with us was a guy who"s show i grew up watching on MTV... pop culture icon & comedian, Andy Milonakis. 

I used to hear him freestyle on "The Andy Milonakis Show" and always thought he had mad skills with funny wordplay. Well the night of the show i watched his set and realized he was a serious emcee with a passion for hip-hop music, crazy stage presence and ill comedic gift between bars. 

We ended up connecting on new song called "RAD!" dropping exclusively for soundxyz. Add this to your collection & premint the drop.

On The Way Down

On The Way Down is the first song I"ve produced in years... 
I"ve co-produced all my songs with other musicians and I"m usually very hands on with the mix, but I haven"t sat down and made a beat until last May. On the living room floor in Lisbon, I sang into a loop machine, trying to prove my worth to someone whose heart has already left me.

The lyrics talked about time lost being apart, 
message received, 
and next time on the way down, I won"t follow. 

fun fact, It was written around the same time LUNA crashed.

This is the third and final song off of Private Room EP, my genesis music NFT release.

Oxytocin (with Glasstempo)

This song reflects on the intrinsic nature of humanity, existing in cyclical patterns, constantly yearning for transcendent states of mental elation.

Glasstempo and I started this work during Headless Chaos camp in the spring of 2022. It was originally pitched as one of the main 45 songs in the chaos collection but was passed on. A few of the alchemists in chaos heard our demo and decided to make an alchemy version, remixing our original samples. You can find the alchemy version at chaos.build under the same name, Oxytocin featuring Conor Dalton, Frances Miller, Violetta Hyland, Deadwalker, and of course Glasstempo and I.

The version being released on sound is Oxytocin stripped back to its essence. It features simply a piano melody, a baseline, and layers of vocals. This is my most vulnerable song to date, I hope it strikes a chord within you.
