Mama-Caladium

Fall has arrived and some of us are feeling and seeing it really starting to bring change in the leaves and air.  
I love the cool and windy days that scatters the warm colors of leaves across the ground.  
It"s a time where you become sentimental and find yourself searching out family and friends to gather near...either literally or reaching out through technology. We want to gather our friends and loved ones to us like we gather beautiful and color leaves.

I hope you can each gather some lovely and beautiful moments this fall that will make lasting memories. Enjoy the changes fall brings and take time to care for yourselves.  
I too wish to gather with loved ones and special ones. And I see my collectors in this collection as some of the most lovely and special people. Thank you for your support from the beginning.

The "Dark Magic Queen" artwork are representated one of the Bali (Indonesia) Mythology titled "Calon Arang". 

In the mythology itself "Calon Arang" known as a woman who becomes the greatest black magic ruler by making a pact with a demon. 

However, apart from the crime of Calon Arang who became out of control of his power, if we dig deeper into the story, we will find out another literature which is explained about a reason behind Calon Arang decision to study black magic until she is crowned as the Queen of black magic.  
It said Calon Arang was the victim of the harshness of women"s lives in that era which was dominated by patriarchy and gender power under the society system. 

This, of course, becomes a dillematic chain when a victim of injustice who fights with her new power just ended up being a devastator for another people life.  
The story were teaches us to always treat anyone in equal and not to let bad intention take over our mind even if it"s a good reason to fight for.

Dark Magic Queen

They say there is a being up high above the Earth who is responsible for creating clouds.  
They call her the Cloud Crafter.  
She is an artist.  
Sometimes her mood effects the clouds; their shape, size, speed and color.  
Today she must be very pleased as this cloud looks like a fluffy bunny.  
Why don"t you try cloud watching next time you are outside.

While most of them were deep asleep, 
Only we few were awake.  
We found each other.  
I am glad you are there.  
I can see you.


*Recommendation: Listen to No Surprises by Radiohead while looking at this piece. 

I kept listening to that song while painting. I am not sure it is just me. Whenever I see this work with that music, it seems showing my emotions at the moment of painting very well.

**My wife asked me to close windows to put our daughter sleep. While closing the windows, I saw there were only few lights on around my neighborhood.  I said to my wife. "hey, there are only few awake."

As soon as I said out loud, there was a spark in my mind.  
"wow this is about me and my frenz in web 3."  
Then, this image came up in my mind. Originally it was not meant for animated work but as I built up this piece, I wanted to do more and show fully how I felt.
