This contract contains wrapped tokens from the historic collections of DADA.

These collections include the pioneering Creeps & Weirdos, produced in 2017 and 2019, as well as iconic releases such as Descontrol, Animalia, Despidida Suspensa, and Sight Unseen aka Perrodrilo. 

Created at the dawn of what is considered cryptoart today, these collections are groundbreaking for their introduction of on-chain royalties for artists, creation of non-fungible editions, and experimental release structures. Every drawing is a unique hand-drawn artwork created on DADA, a one of a kind platform for collaborative digital art. This wrapped token may be unwrapped at any time to receive the original and historically dated NFT.

This token is a wrapped version of a modified ERC20 standard token with an edition of 200 and is a piece from the '2017 ERC20 Creeps' collection. The 2019 vintage Creeps & Weirdos upgraded the collection to the ERC721 standard and their original supply was halved. This collection, together with the 2017 ERC20 Creeps form the complete Creeps & Weirdos and serve as evidence that DADA was present as a pioneer, participant, and thought leader throughout the history of rare digital art.

Feels Like 5 Years !

When I think of 2021, I will always think of NFTs. It has been a life changing year that all started on Nifty Gateway with my first drop in January. The collection of Twisted Landscapes that dropped that day, sold out in the blink of an eye and sent me down the rabbit hole forever. I would go on to purchase my first ever NFT the next day. This piece represents my feelings from that time and moving forward throughout the year. Wanting to stand atop a high place and shout to anyone who will listen about this digital renaissance.

MOM ! I HAD A NIGHTMARE ! by Aeforias Dad

The woman portrait was painted by Bakus very own Stephanie Lamontagne. Together, we surrounded the subject with a colourful abstraction by using pigmented resin. We repeated this process three times to obtain various interpretations. The animation created by JF Lemay and the musical ambiance written by Raphal Favreau brought all these paintings together into one narrative.  

Through this animation, we wanted to illustrate the dreamlike phenomenon of navigating blindly between being awake and asleep. Those nightmares where beginning and end seem to fuse and intertwine. The state of confusion and powerlessness stems from the loss of all bearings, creating the overwhelming impression of being in a never-ending loop. And how the distress of feeling that this state is endless plunges one into great, suffocating fear.
