CP1919 is a digital audiovisual project that draws on artist Peter Savilles iconic Joy Division Unknown Pleasures album cover. These digital artworks include newly recorded sound combining samples from archival Joy Division recordings and the radio signature of the CP1919.

CP1919: Sweeping Sun White 2023 is an open edition artwork (NFT) featuring a monochromatic white moving artwork by Peter Saville and new audio from the Joy Division Archive, including previously unreleased vocals. The illustrious computer art pioneer releases her first and only on-chain generative art project investigating three notorious letter forms that changed the conversation around digital art forever. Themes and Variations is Vera Molnrs personal reflection towards her decades-long practice with the 'machine imaginaire' in the midst of an unforeseen digital art boom brought forward through the introduction of NFTs.

Themes and Variations encompasses a collection of 500 unique generative artworks. Within these works, Molnr passionately explores ideas she has delved into since the late 1960s when she first embarked upon the realm of algorithmic art. Central to her artistic expression is the seamless integration of letters as pure abstract forms, coupled with her affinity for embracing disorder. This deliberate choice grants the machine a certain level of autonomy, allowing it to challenge and even contradict the predefined rules established by Molnr herself. Thus, through this exploration of a dynamic interplay between the artist and the machine, uncharted territories within her creative practice are unveiled.

"All these variations around letters resonate in me like music. Even though I stopped playing the piano at the age of 15, music has never left me. I immediately think of Goldberg Variations or Beethoven's Diabelli Variations on a Waltz. That's why I gave the title Theme and Variations to the latest project with the letters N, F, and T that I am working on for my first and only long form generative art project."

An Important Memory for Humanity is Refik Anadols groundbreaking limited-edition NFT collection that utilizes data from the worlds first all-civilian space flight. The collection presents a series of poetic data sculptures and paintings of the Inspiration4 mission. 
	
For this collection, Anadol and his team interpreted data from SpaceX and NASA-funded research institute TRISH (Translational Research Institute for Space Health) on the effects of space travel on the human body. TRISH conducts cutting-edge research into the impact that the conditions in space have on the astronauts, with an attempt to reduce the health risks of venturing deeper into the universe.

Beyond the Edge presents four perspectives of Jackson Pollock's studio floor, the site upon which the master abstract expressionist dripped, poured, and splattered paint across unstretched canvas. At the time of creation, the 1940s and 1950s, his expressive process of working around a canvas laid directly on the floor was unheard of; however, it soon overturned the tradition of upright painting, a convention which had been firmly established for five centuries.

COMPUTE: sinking patternsAbyss.

This series of eight works is a continuation of Mapans interest in exploring the materiality and texture of something that is immaterial  through coding algorithms, or more specifically in this case, JavaScript.

Through the highly delicate imitation of paper texture as background, as well as the variety of saturation, forms and patterns exemplified by the blue colour, Mapan recounts the story of his childhood, when he first learnt how to fill the cartridge of a fountain pen. He recalls the blue ink staining his fingertips as well as sheets of paper, creating a mess, but also random patterns. This series of work alludes to his own childhood as well as the tactile nature of pen, ink and paper, but more broadly to a personal memory that is shared among a collective consciousness. 

A theme central to Mapans practice is his attempt to inject humanness into the algorithm. Instead of letting computers draw regular patterns and shapes, he achieves this sense of humanness by breaking the regular algorithm and incorporating more organic shapes, so the composition no longer looks sharp and machine-drawn. Similar to a fountain pen which releases more ink with pressure, Mapan incorporates pressure as an element that allows for the computer-like rigidity to become more human-like.
