Upon encountering Matisse's ""Blue Nudes"" series, I found myself intrigued by the photograph of a room adorned with these simple yet evocative depictions of the human form. At first glance the figures appeared as harmonious abstractions, each embodying a shared pose while subtly diverging in unique ways upon closer inspection. This experience ignited my fascination with the artistic endeavor to recreate the same essence through multiple iterations, prompting a contemplation on the role of variations in a generative art series in an era often fixated on extravagant algorithmic diversity.

Here we aim to celebrate subtlety. This project employs not only the randomness inherent to algorithms but also the serendipity of human intervention. Anchored in my own hand-drawn inputs, the process intertwines organic paths with algorithmic automation, generating polygons that exude the beauty of nuanced distinctions.

Beyond technique, this endeavor mirrors an autobiographical passage  a celebration of my evolution from functional coder to constructor of pure form. Matisse's iconic method of composing with cut paper  initially a preparatory ritual  mirrors my own journey. What once served utilitarian software now finds purpose in artistry, code morphing into my chosen medium of artistic expression. This metamorphosis, a kinship to Matisse's transformation, is my homage to the creative odyssey that beckons when code transcends its pragmatic origins.

On May 2nd 2023, artist Jeremy Cowart created his historic AURAS project, which which is now 10,000 completely unique NFTs produced in 20 minutes start to finish without relying on generative code. It was the first time Cowart has ever publicly revealed his creative process that he has spent 10 years privately developing in his studio.

Captured as the default PFP, Cowart himself was the blank canvas, wearing all white, including a white mask. Cowart took rarity to historic new levels by turning them into a live performance the lighting setups, the hats he wore, the photo editing styes, the robotic prisms, the body positioning, and the 150+ images projecting behind him and on his body all went into the rarity traits. Once finished, Cowart commissioned a team of 20+ people to manually assign the rarity traits since the entire project was created through analog methods.

"The Collector's Room" represents my inaugural foray into the realm of long-form generative art. This series synthesizes my well-established Infinity Room NFT and cryptoart series with my burgeoning passion for crafting textures, 3D geometries, and colors through code. Each NFT, or room, in this series, functions as an homage to the current moment generative digital art is enjoying within the contemporary art sphere. Furthermore, this project pays tribute to the discerning digital art collectors who passionately support and preserve digital culture, paralleling the enthusiasm of the artists who create it.  In a unique twist, each room offers the option of being adorned with one of three distinct generative art series, exclusively available within "The Collector's Room." Consequently, this creates a meta-generative art project, encapsulating a myriad of generative art series within a larger, overarching generative endeavor.  I am honored to bring this series to life, thanks to the support from Proof Collective and the Moonbirds community.
