Entropeta rarely felt a sense of enjoyment towards his life. One of the few occasions he did, was during a game of tag at the market square. It was one of the only days the other children allowed him to play in the same area as him. He chased and laughed, perhaps for the first time in his life, he had a taste of what it was to be accepted and loved. Unaware that his sister was at the other end of the market he allowed himself to believe, for a moment, that the curse had been lifted. This, however, was short-lived. The moment she left, the area was befallen by one of the worst accidents it had seen. A cook cleaved through three of his fingers, stumbling backwards and knocking over a pot of hot oil onto the fire it sat upon, the burning oil found its way to the next stall and a stack of drying haybales went up in flames. That day a quarter of the square burnt to the ground, and with it, any hope Entropeta had at a normal life.
