In what feels like a dissonant world right now, each of us needs to create our own 'pockets of peace' not only for ourselves, but for those we love.

I am reminded of the many challenging moments in my own life when I questioned my own existence  the tragedies and travails that shake one to the core  and through these experiences, I am grateful to have had friends around me who cared enough to listen.

Difficult times are always portals to better times  opportunities to lean into the discomfort of the moment with the knowledge and wisdom that each challenge carries with it new life, strength, adventure and resilience.

Look for moments each day when you can open your ears and your heart to your friends and, paraphrasing W.B. Yeats, to the friends you have not yet met.
