Born to Chase

You had to play your nickels right today. Nebraska was ready to throw down a monster close to sunset and positioning was key. Initiation started close by and it was only a matter of time before the danger hours hit. As I was approaching this spot, I over shot the pull off. I continued down to find a safe turnaround spot and watched a lightning bolt, 100 yards away, strike the fence near the pull off. Moments later, the storm, moving and rotating fast, got too close and the emergency route was taken. My adrenaline was pumping, my fear level soared, but I let out a big "Hell Yeah". Seven inch hail was falling from the core of this storm as we followed with it. As daylight faded, this went from the most powerful supercell I have ever chased to a shower in about an hour.
