The COMPUTATION series is a set of seamless looping GIF animations exploring color and movement at low resolutions. They recall the aesthetics of analog punch-cards, woven textiles, and mainframe control panels; media endemic to computations rich history. Each iteration is stochastically generated from a modified version of a JavaScript-based program called COMPUTERS originally developed as a long-form generative algorithm. Unlike its predecessor, each COMPUTATION is hand-selected by the artist. Each is titled according to the date of its generation as well as the seed number used to produce it.
