Afterimage seemed like a perfect metaphor to close on. It may not look pretty in passing, but if you look toward the light through the darkness, the negative fades and what matters is still there. Thank you for being a light.

To view the afterimage, focus on the small white heart in the center of the picture for about a minute. Then close your eyes, tilt your head up slightly and blink a few times (keeping your eyes closed). Afterimages work best with lots of light, so turn your screen brightness up and go touch some grass.
