Between Peace and Void

The night feels cold, the kind of coldness that tenderly numbs your senses. This gift of calmness from the abyss feels no less serene than that of the vibrant sunset sky. Entropy sure has a strange way of inviting you into its flow. 

Aimlessly navigating through the vast haze has familiarized you with this, perhaps comforting, apathy. However, before embracing the abyss, standing before you is a lit shelter. 

As you stood there contemplating, wondering if its worth it to stay but go through the entirety of it all once again, or simply stay out and embrace the abyss. Should you accept its momentary solace, or should you reject it and just dissolve into oblivion? The absence of noise defines peace, but so does it define void. Should you be there, or just not be anywhere?
