\"2020: Total Clarity\"

With "2020: Total Clarity," artists Mike Varley and Jessi Highet (collectively Highley Varlet) embarked on a year-long, 5 marathon a week walking journey visiting every neighborhood and borough of New York City. 

Starting June 21st, 2020 and concluding on June 20th, 2021, the pair walked over 7,000 miles and 260 marathons in total - concluding with their marriage on the final day.

To celebrate both the two year anniversary of completion and the initial foray into the project"s vast video archive, this companion film documents the pedometer output from each completed marathon session - 26.2 miles at a minimum with some sessions exceeding the required length. In addition, smaller walks were taken and recorded throughout the year to achieve a minimum mileage of 7,000 for the project.
