As someone who is drawn to both the outdoors and science fiction, Ive always been fascinated with the idea of hidden portals in the remote woods. 

I took this photo at Kaaterskill Falls a few years ago, on a day where a dense fog gave the entire area an eery vibe. I always felt that there was something otherworldly about an abandoned train station in the middle of the woods. I like to imagine it wasnt a station that once served as part of a now retired railway line, but a hub for inter-dimensional travel - a hidden portal to another realm or reality.
