As the dome of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi swirls into an almost biomorphic geometric pattern, this artwork captures the beauty of the surroundings by focusing on a single detail. The feeling of being welcomed into the UAE underpins this piece, which also reflects the creative energy of the place. The score is composed of Middle Eastern rhythms, pulling on the artists love and appreciation of music, which he learned in childhood.


ARTIST BIO

Raphael never seriously considered creating art as a career, thus he never pursued a formal art education. He has turned to developing his practice and at the heart of his work is a dedication to changing perspectives in his viewers. 

With only one Genesis piece minted, before he exhibits work with MORROW collective at Art Dubai, Raphael is excited to embark on the next stage of his artistic career.
