The performance was unique in that it had no live audience, and the band played in front of the empty amphitheater. The film has become a cult classic and is considered one of the greatest concert films ever made, capturing Pink Floyd at the height of their creative powers while performing some of their most iconic songs against the backdrop of the ancient ruins of Pompeii.
