The Muttniks are the pioneering canines who led the way for human exploration of space. Muttnik STAR was the last dog to launch to space before the first human beinglegendary space hero Yuri Gagarin. Named with great affection by the cosmonaut himself, STAR went to space 18 days prior to Gagarin in the same spacecraft.
