I Wish We Could Be Friends is the prismatic expression of feminine identity through the fractured lens of media and consumerism where we are presented an illusion of choice and self expression, when the reality is we are expected to fulfill many roles while maintaining a veneer of a hyper stylized perfection. This fracturing causes a sense of disconnect and isolation in which one wishes she even could know and be friends with herself - let alone express her authentic self to the world around her.

In my art practice, short loops are intentionally created to capture the collective ADHD mind we all suffer from with social media, while the animations themselves are highly layered and complex to entice the critical thinking portion of the brain to pause and ruminate on what its viewing in an intentional disruption of the flow of social media timelines.
