Guiding Light is one of my best and favorite astrophotos of my career. I took it in 2019 during the total solar eclipse period over the Chilean mountains in the Atacama desert. I traveled to 4300 meters above sea level to find this canyon, a bit further away from the road, braving bad altitude sickness with a nasty genetic limitation! 
The canyon near Guatn is also very deep and dangerous at night, since it is so dark. However, with a capable astromodified camera, I was able to reveal what lay in the guts of the trench, with an Easter Egg when I realized bright Jupiter was reflecting in that small fresh water river below. 
The milky way was arching right above the canyon in a very symmetric way, and lit it up! To me, it represents the swings in our lives that we all have to take in order to get to better days, while being under the watchful eye of our home galaxy, which creates sort of a guiding light for us.
