In this series, we embark on an artistic exploration that blends the nostalgia of early motion animation with digital technology. Inspired by the mechanism of a zoetrope, we set out to reinvent this historical tool in a vibrant, high-tech digital form. Our goal was to show the transformative power of the earliest motion technologies being reborn into an innovative digital form.

As the scenes come to life, the familiar yet enchanting illusion of motion unfolds, capturing the essence of early animation's charm while harnessing the visual and motion capabilities of modern technology. It is a testament to the possibilities that emerge when tradition meets technology; when history is reinvented with a modern, high-tech palette.

This principle features three unique objects organised in three sets of works.

In this piece, we have included a sequence from the 1972 TV show Black Beauty, combined with a moment from the 1978 film Snake & Crane Arts of Shaolin.
