Ive always found lighthouses reassuring. For centuries, these magnificent beacons have guided sailors on the home stretch of often long-and-arduous journeys. I like to imagine the feeling of optimism that would wash over a captain as they caught the first glimpse of the shining light from the lighthouse cutting through a pre-dawn fog, knowing that they will have help navigating the final obstacles as they reach the port theyve been dreaming of for weeks. This mental image gives me hope in my own journey. 

We can all become overwhelmed by stress in our day-to-day life. In those moments, we often lose sight of the best course towards happiness and just how close we may be to the first glimpse of our own guiding light that will bring us home. Ive often felt that spending a full day alone with your thoughts in the presence of one of these historic structures may provide the clarity needed to help chart the best course in navigating our daily stressors and getting on a path towards personal fulfillment. 

Since we probably dont have the time to spend a full day of reflection at the base of a lighthouse, I wanted to capture that 24-hour period in this 30-second animation. While it will not have the same meditative effects of a full-day of contemplation, my hope is that it will serve as a reminder of the importance of taking time to reflect on why/how we are doing things, and of the benefits of leaning into those individuals in our lives that serve as beacons guiding us towards our best self.
