About the artist

Mel Sem was born as a musical genius into a family of 11 children in Cuba, being the youngest one. He is a multi-talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, graduated music academic of the University of Havana.

This collection of masterpieces took shape and where composed mostly down the American mid-west roads in 2022, but it also captures moments from different corners of North America. The experiences, the views, nature, the cities and the interactions with so many different events and people inspired it. Its a fabulous collage of sonic photographs pieced together to conform a whole.

In 2019 Mel made it to the finals of la Voz and gained recognition all across the global latin music scene. Mel plays live shows on a daily basis for more than 25 years and ever since amazes his audiences through his authenticity and positive attitude to life. He has shared stages and collaborated with Coldplay, the Bob Marley Family, Bobby Mc Ferrin, Youssou n Dour and many more.

In 2022 Mel toured the entire United States of America on a 90 day tour divided into 3 seasons and regions together with the uprising future folk superband GoneGoneBeyond. During his extensive touring and many hours of driving (mainly on the road by tour bus) throughout this vast country, he composed this stunning Instrumental Album.

This minimalistic downtempo LP heals and is good for the soul. Music for laid back moments, the musical Genre being Lofi-Electro. Close your eyes and dream away. Sit back, relax and let this magical music flow all the way through your body.
