or flaccid thrusting
or the blissful severing of achilles
providing the lubrication
to nurse our overstuffed, faux leather womb
his gavel ended their suffering
for a moment
their bliss was ours
in the infinite reflection
contained in the dead eyes of a ketamine mascot
we sang along to spilling blood
and applauded the indiscernible orgy
of those sentenced to eternal life
some day we hoped wed be called
to die in a similar fashion
to applauding hooves of a nation
and the failing memories
of those we thought we loved
