Dreamy Waves

Winter swells are amazing to watch.

I took this picture at sunset from the edge of a cliff near my home. It is somewhere that I love to go and enjoy my spare time. 

What I like about shooting the ocean is that its never the same. Its always in motion. Elements change constantly  the tide, wind and the waves. You can never get tired of it. I like finding myself alone in the face of the expanse of the landscape, I like being in contemplation.

When conditions are ideal, I observe the environment, watching where the waves crash. Its good when the wind is coming from inland. That creates ripples that are lifted on the surface of the waves. It creates something aesthetically pleasing.
