The theme of this year"s work is "Carp waterfall climbing and Growth."
The painting is based on the image of Nigi-chan, who has completed the rite of passage and grown large with the carp, ascending to become a dragon. The dynamic pose and ridges are reminiscent of the strength of life force and the dragon"s flight not only into the sky but also into the wider world.
