Afterimages seemed like a perfect metaphor to close on. It"s not the same, but after it"s gone, you can see what was really there.

To view the afterimage, stare at the small white heart in the center of the picture for about a minute. After, close your eyes, tilt your head up slightly and blink a few times (keeping your eyes closed). Afterimages work best with lots of light, so turn your screen brightness up and go touch some grass.
