Once a powerful and well-travelled scholar and scientist, Osi the Decrypter was a man curious in unravelling the mysteries in the world of Pathos. He studied the ancient tomes and manuscripts, and it is said that he had even ventured into the ruins of the old world in search of answers. Exploring the unknown expanses of the Ley Lines, and being one of the first humans to learn from the machine race known as the Machina. 

Osi was one of the most brilliant minds of his time, and his discoveries and inventions helped shape the world of Pathos into what it is today. He is credited with the creation of the first magical machines, as well as the first teleportation devices. He was also the first to discover and map the ley lines, which are now used extensively for travel and trade.

Sadly, Osi's curiosity eventually led him to his downfall. In his later years, he became obsessed with a particular set of ruins that were said to hold the secrets of an ancient and powerful civilization. He spent years exploring these ruins, and eventually discovered a powerful artifact that was sealed away inside.

However, the artifact was too powerful for Osi to control, and it drove him mad. He began to believe that he was the chosen one of the ancient civilization, and that it was his destiny to rule the world. As he spun into insanity, he found himself captured by the Church of Viv, a religious group ruled by Lady Nafari. Using dark alchemy, he was slowly morphed into the Decrepit Decrypter, a hollowed out construct of a man.

Osi now resides in the lowest depths of the Cathedral of Viv, where he is kept under close watch by the church. He is a shadow of his former self, and his mind is consumed by madness. However, he still retains his brilliance, and his inventions can be found all over the world of Pathos.
