"Peace in the Public Domain" is not just an art project; it's a declaration. Embracing the slogan "Not copyrighted, trademarked, or restricted!" this initiative celebrates the concept of peace as a universal, unbounded entity - akin to the countless works of art residing in the public domain.

The centerpiece of this project is the iconic peace symbol, a design that has journeyed through decades of social and political landscapes, yet remains as relevant and unclaimed as any masterpiece from history.

Its origin, rooted in the anti-nuclear activism of 1958 by Gerald Holtom, symbolizes more than a movement; it embodies the collective human desire for harmony and coexistence. The peace symbol transcends its creator and context to become a shared human heritage.

In drawing parallels between the peace symbol and the public domain, this project underscores how peace is a societal masterpiece that we all contribute to and are part of.

Just as art in the public domain is accessible for reinterpretation, repurposing, and reimagining without restrictions, so too is the concept of peace.

One can not own PEACE, but rather experience and interpret it uniquely; individually and with community.
