This piece is a representation of our digital bubbles. The cyborg characters double face was a nod to our online persona being a layer of artifice and a very different version from who we really are. Missed connections was a place in the back of the paper where you could post ads looking for love and try to contact people you may have met in passing. I believe our screen time is robbing us of intimacy and true moments of connection replacing it with momentary hits of dopamine. With Play Attention I want to remind people to seek out analogue experiences. I really love working in physical media and getting my hands dirty. It feels very human.
