It is reported throughout Japan as a yokai that reads people"s minds. According to Toriyama Sekien, it is said to live deep in the mountains, especially in Gifu Prefecture. It is said to be able to guess the thoughts of people who enter the mountains, and to take advantage of any opportunity to eat them.
SATORI is said to be the incarnation of a mountain god, DOUJI who has fallen and become a monster.
