HAFFTKA

The Family theme has reoccured in my oeuvre since the early 1980s. In 1986 I painted a large painting Family which was exhibited in Cologne Germany and at Aberbach Fine Arts in New York City. A few years later I painted my own family on a large canvas and that painting was exhibited at the Housatonic Museum of Art in Bridgeport CT. When I received this commission from a young couple to paint their family I approached the subject with many years of experience painting my own children. I feel this is a very deep and important subject.
