Bootyshakers - 2D Booties

Our 22nd Bootysaker is the Motion Graphics artist, educator, and studio owner, Emonee LaRussa! 

It is no doubt that Emonee is an incredible artist, having worked on music videos for some of the biggest names in the industry like FKA Twigs, Lil Nas X, and John Legend. She is a rare woman of color both as a Motion Graphics artist and in a leadership role, as the founder and CEO of Pamanama Studios. 

At Super Dope, were familiar with the feeling of being an outsider, whether it be because of your race, gender, wealth disparity, or just straight up because of the way you choose to dress yourself. What we love about Emonee is that even though the industry has not traditionally catered to individuals like her, her fight doesnt come from trying to prove people wrong, but to smash the ceiling to give others the opportunity to chase their own voice and dreams. 

She created the nonprofit, Jump Start Designers, to provide access to Adobe programs and computers to lower-income kids. That is why we will be donating the profits to this organization, and one of the many reasons we are celebrating Emonee LaRussa. The world is a more interesting place when we have more variety of voices sharing their stories. We love your style, we love your art, and we love YOU!
