Description: In order for one to truly understand smart contracts, its essential to understand how blockchain technology works, at least at a high level. The Miner (Proof of Work) is a visual representation of my experience setting out to understand the blockchain data structure, as well as how mining algorithms (proof of work vs proof of stake) process blocks and add them to the chain. This piece is also meant to be a visual companion piece to The CryptoCartographer, and so the information in this piece references the block on which the last CryptoCartographer was minted. Its also a subtle reminder that while new technology is often flawed, its most always worth iterating and improving on it instead  of abandoning it - Proof of Work (at least on the Ethereum network) is very likely experiencing its fifteen minutes, which ultimately paved the way for Proof of Stake, a cleaner and more efficient consensus model. Each NFT comes with a physical print*.
