MERAKI 

In your utmost moments of silence and reflection, what does your soul say to you? What rhythm do you hear, and how does it make you feel? For me, I hear a song. A gentle and soothing tune. I wrote the poem below to describe this experience:


"I long to play a song that I have written, 
A sound of gentle harmony flowing within 
Stirring ideas in me like one dreaming. 

Perhaps I've heard this lovely song.
Before, in some past life -
When life on Earth was newly sprung 
And a passion in my heart brightly burned. 

But my soul it remembers,
My fingers strike the chords that matter
To inspire me once more
With a recollection from heaven's door.
Of a melody that inspires memory, 
This splendid piece of art 
I pray will ever linger on
Forever inside my heart."
