RELI3F is a web3 initiative to provide global humanitarian aid. our first collection is in support of the people of Ukraine and includes 37 of our space's most influential artists, some of whom call Ukraine home. We recognize the Ukrainian people's struggle. In a crisis where time is of the essence, web3 allows us to collaborate with artists + collectors to get funds where they are most needed. And because of the blockchain, we can provide full transparency.

100% of the primary sale will go towards relief efforts in Ukraine. All royalties from secondary sales will either go towards those same efforts, or towards supporting Ukrainian artists, charity, and/or art initiatives of the participating artists choice.

From the Ukrainian Railroad Ladies series

Ukrainian Railroad Ladies is a series of portraits of people who work as traffic controllers and safety officers at railroad crossings in Ukraine. They spend their long shifts in the little houses built along the tracks specifically for them. Its a series that studies Ukrainian rural and suburban landscapes where the exteriors of these railroad houses play a prominent role. It"s looking into the intimate details of the interiors and invites the viewer to meet the Railroad Ladies themselves. This project is also an exploration of why this profession still exists in the 21st century, given the almost full automatization of railroad crossings in Ukraine and around the world. Its a study of the anthropological and social aspects of this profession and the role and importance of the railroad in general in Ukraine.
The country has been consumed by political turmoil: a war in the East and loss of its territory to an aggressive neighbor, never mind the endless corruption and permanently troubled economy. In Ukraine, people pay little attention to the women they see from a train window, standing and most often holding a folded yellow flag (a sign to the train engineer that all is well on the tracks ahead).
And although the country and the world are consumed with much larger issues, the people with folded yellow flags play a big, yet silent role in Ukrainian every day life.
In the storm, its often hard to see the lighthouse. Ukrainian Railroad Ladies are that lighthouse. They are a symbol of certain things in this country that dont change, standing firm in the present as a defiant nod to the past. Unfazed by the passing of trains and time, they are here to stay.

This work is dedicated to the times when I lived in Kyiv and just started taking photographs. Then in 2011, I could not even imagine that in the future I would witness how enemy troops invaded in my country.

In a time of great sorrow we come together hoping for a peaceful resolution.  We watch from different corners of the world and hope whatever small efforts we put forward can make a difference. We stand with Ukraine and hope for the safety of all the innocent lives currently effective. I have hope that through the power of love and community we can find a brighter future beyond the tragedy. My grandfather fled fascism in his home of eastern Hungary in 1938. At the age of four he sailed across the Atlantic with his family to be greeted by Lady Liberty. I am here today because they were able to get out. Most were not given that opportunity and were subjected to the horrors of The Holocaust. 

As I took this photo in November 2021, I reflected upon the privilege I was given through the weight of my ancestors leaving their home for a foreign land. I pondered the ways the world has changed since my late grandfather was welcomed by the very same symbol of hope that I was now witnessing. And then I remembered the ways the world hasnt changed much at all. A boat that was conveniently in frame glitched into the ghost representation of my grandfather"s vessel. 

To me the circuitbent glitching of The Statue of Liberty represents a new era: updated interpretations of what liberty means and how we can use technology to achieve it. Glitch to me is the transformation of brokenness to the best of our ability. How do we take this broken world full of broken systems and make the best of it? This photo was so special to me I couldn"t decide when to publish it. I wanted to reflect on it privately longer. But today, I knew it was time.

America seldom lives up to the ideals of freedom, refuge, and opportunity ascribed to it. What Lady Liberty represents to me as a descendant of immigrants can symbolize something more oppressive and harsh to others who were not shown the same kindness. I aim to use the opportunity my ancestors provided me to spread and reinforce the ideals she represents regardless of how well current governments embody them. I push for freedom and opportunity independent of geography or heritage.
