Winter Vinecki is an extremely accomplished aerial skier, marathon runner, triathlete and elite obstacle course competitor. After losing her dad at the age of 9 to an aggressive form of prostate cancer, she formed TeamWinter.org a 501 (c) (3) non-profit to raise money for prostate cancer research & awareness. She has raised over $500,000 toward that effort and counting. Winter began racing triathlons at the age of 5 and completed her first Olympic triathlons at 9. She went on to become the Ironkids National Champion for 2010 & 2011 and spent three years as the official ambassador of the sport. Winter was also the 2011 recipient of the Annika Inspiration Award. At age 12, Winter was invited to an aerial skiing camp by two-time Olympian, Emily Cook. After completing the week-long camp, Winter moved to Park City, UT to train and compete for the next three years on the Fly Freestyle elite development team. During that time, she set a world record by becoming the youngest person to run a marathon on all seven continents, the youngest person to run 26.2 miles on Antarctica and the first mother/daughter duo to run a marathon on all seven continents. Winter was first named to the US Ski Team in 2016 after winning the NorAm Tour. In 2019, Winter became the U.S. National Aerials Champion and in 2021, captured multiple World Cup titles, finishing the season ranked 2nd overall in the world. Winter made her Olympic debut representing Team USA in her first-ever Olympic Games in Beijing, China in 2022.

This effectively ended the longest drought in the history of the mens US Ski Team.

From Ocala, Florida, Erin recalls growing up skating at the local roller rink from as far back as she can remember, starting inline speedskating in 2003. After an illustrious career and having reached the pinnacle of competition in both inline skating and roller derby, Erin knew if she wanted a shot at the Olympics she needed to switch to the ice.



In September of 2017, she packed her bags and moved to Salt Lake City, UT, home of the U.S. National Speedskating Team, with her sights set on what she hoped could be a berth on the 2022 Olympic Team. In January of 2018, she electrified the crowd at the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and earned her spot on the team, becoming the first black American woman in history to ever do so. 



Erin further cemented her place in history by becoming the first black American woman to win a World Cup in November 2021. A few months later at Beijing 2022, she won the gold medal in the Womens 500m speed skating event.

A native of Ocala, Florida, Joey started roller-skating as a way to kill time. Little did he know it would eventually take him around the world. He caught the attention of speedskating coach Rene Hildebrand while spending time at the local roller rink, who coaxed him to join her team. That turned out to be a good decision for both of them. In his first season competing, Joey became National Champion.

 

Joey became one of the most dominant skaters the sport has ever seen  an astounding 28-time World Champion and 6-time World Record holder. Having done all there was to

do on wheels, Joey gave it all up for a shot at the Olympic podium and in 2011 he traded his wheels for blades and moved to Salt Lake City, home of the U.S. National Speedskating Team.

 

Although he struggled on ice at first, his tenacity has paid off.  Joey is now a 3-time Olympian (2014, 2018, 2022), a 3-time World Champion, a World Record Holder, the 2022 1500-meter Overall World Cup Champion and a 2022 Olympic Bronze Medalist.

Julia Mancuso is an American alpine skier who has won more Olympic medals than any American woman in ski racing history, and is second all-time in International Championship medals with nine  four Olympic and five World Championship. As a four- event athlete from the beginning, Mancuso started World Cup racing and was a NorAm champion at 16, competed in the Olympics at 17, set a U.S. record for Junior World Championships medals before she was out of her teens, and then started her twenties by capturing two World Championships medals. Her storied career includes an Olympic medal in every color with gold in 2006, a pair of silver medals from 2010 and a bronze in 2014, making her the only American woman to earn one of each.
