This huge and majestic structure is 324 meters high, it is made of 18 000 puddled iron pieces. It was made by Gustave Eiffel, engineer and famous entrepreneur, who designed this building for the celebrations of the centenary of the French Revolution and the Universal Exhibition in Paris held in 1889.

The Luxor Obelisk, which is an obelisk originally from the Temple of Amun in Luxor, Egypt, erected since 1836 in the center of the Place de la Concorde in Paris. The Luxor obelisk was classified as a historical monument in 1937. Considering its manufacture which goes back to the ancient Egyptian civilization, it is the oldest monument of Paris, before the foundation of the capital.
